Admission by the student advising office<\/em><\/strong><br><br><\/td><td>Before you begin your master\u2019s thesis, you must have your form \u201cAssignment of the master\u2019s thesis\u201d signed at the student advising office. This confirms your admission to the final thesis. <br><\/td><\/tr><tr><td><strong><em>2. Topic proposal and submission to the chair<\/em><\/strong><br><br><br><br><br><br><\/td><td>After confirmation by the student advising office, please submit the following documents to the chair:<br>1. Signed form &#8220;Assignment of the master\u2019s thesis&#8221; (see Download Center, student advising office)<br>2. Current transcript of records and a short CV<br>3. Topic proposal \/ concept paper (approx. 1 page) including the problem statement, research question, relevant literature, and a proposal for your supervisor. <br><br>You are welcome to use our topics from the master seminars as guidance, available in the LMS Moodle course.<br><\/td><\/tr><tr><td><strong><em>3. Consultation, initiation process, and start of the master\u2019s thesis<\/em><\/strong><br><br><br><br><br><br><br><br><br><\/td><td>At the chair, your topic will be reviewed and discussed with your respective supervisor. After a 4\u20136-week familiarization period, the form \u201cAssignment of the master\u2019s thesis\u201d will be completed for the official registration of your master\u2019s thesis; your master\u2019s thesis is then officially registered.  <br><br>The master\u2019s thesis can be <strong>started at the chair at any time<\/strong>. There are no fixed initiation or submission deadlines at our chair; you determine your own start date. <br><br>The duration of your master\u2019s thesis is governed by the examination regulations of your degree program.<br><\/td><\/tr><tr><td><strong><em>4. Research colloquium<\/em><\/strong><br><br><br><br><\/td><td>As part of your master\u2019s thesis, you must complete a research colloquium. Please arrange the date in good time with your supervisor.  <br><br>As a rule, the colloquium takes place approximately 1 month <strong><em>before <\/em><\/strong>the submission deadline.<br><\/td><\/tr><tr><td><strong><em>5. Submission of the master\u2019s thesis<\/em><\/strong><br><br><br><br><br><br><\/td><td>Formal and timely submission must be made in accordance with the requirements of the student advising office for Law and Economics. Topic proposal and submission to the chair<\/em><\/strong><br><br><br><br><br><br><\/td><td>After confirmation by the student advising office, please submit the following documents to the chair:<br>1. Signed form \"Assignment of the master\u2019s thesis\" (see Download Center, student advising office)<br>2. Current transcript of records and a short CV<br>3. Topic proposal \/ concept paper (approx. 1 page) including the problem statement, research question, relevant literature, and a proposal for your supervisor. <br><br>You are welcome to use our topics from the master seminars as guidance, available in the LMS Moodle course.<br><\/td><\/tr><tr><td><strong><em>3. Consultation, initiation process, and start of the master\u2019s thesis<\/em><\/strong><br><br><br><br><br><br><br><br><br><\/td><td>At the chair, your topic will be reviewed and discussed with your respective supervisor. After a 4\u20136-week familiarization period, the form \u201cAssignment of the master\u2019s thesis\u201d will be completed for the official registration of your master\u2019s thesis; your master\u2019s thesis is then officially registered.  <br><br>The master\u2019s thesis can be <strong>started at the chair at any time<\/strong>. There are no fixed initiation or submission deadlines at our chair; you determine your own start date. <br><br>The duration of your master\u2019s thesis is governed by the examination regulations of your degree program.<br><\/td><\/tr><tr><td><strong><em>4. Research colloquium<\/em><\/strong><br><br><br><br><\/td><td>As part of your master\u2019s thesis, you must complete a research colloquium. Please arrange the date in good time with your supervisor.  <br><br>As a rule, the colloquium takes place approximately 1 month <strong><em>before <\/em><\/strong>the submission deadline.<br><\/td><\/tr><tr><td><strong><em>5. Submission of the master\u2019s thesis<\/em><\/strong><br><br><br><br><br><br><\/td><td>Formal and timely submission must be made in accordance with the requirements of the student advising office for Law and Economics.
