Mr. Nils Herm-Stapelberg successfully completed his doctorate on the topic “On the Influence of Recommender Systems on User Behavior and their Economic Impact” at the Rothlauf Chair in August 2020. We congratulate Mr. Herm-Stapelberg on his outstanding academic achievement! In his cumulative doctoral dissertation, he investigates whether and how the use of experts within recommender systems affects the consumption of media content in video libraries.

Since April 2020, Mr. Herm-Stapelberg has been working as a Data Scientist at the Cancer Registry Rhineland-Palatinate, where he heads the Digitalization Staff Unit.
